  1. Open a command window by going to Start, then Run and typing in CMD.
  2. Or Simply search for command prompt
  3. In Command prompt type the following code:
  4. format /FS:FAT32 Z:
  5. Replace the Letter Z with the name / letter of the drive you want to format
  6. Press Y to confirm

Note* Backup all the data on the drive after formatting all the data will be lost.
