Videocon has announced its latest budget smartphone, the A48. It comes powered by 1GHz Dual core processor, 4.5″ IPS display and Dual SIM support. There are many handsets in the market that describes similar features but A48 would rule over if it is priced under Rs 6200. It would compete with Spice Mi 436, Intex X4 and Y2, Micromax A74 and Canvas Fun A63.
A48 Look
Talking about the design it has round edges, due to which the A48 looks more slimmer than actually it is. It has 3touch sensitive buttons at the front-bottom, 4.5″ display and 1.3MP camera with earpiece placed at the top-front. At the back it has 5MP auto-focus camera with LED flash, noise cancellation MIC and Loudspeaker.

The A48 gains the power from 1GHz Dual core processor integrated with 512MB of RAM. It comes with 4.5inch FWVGA (854×480 pixels) resolution capacitive touch screen IPS display, Android 4.2 jelly bean and 1650 mAh battery. It features 3G (3.75G), Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v3.0 with A2DP, GPS / GLONASS / A-GPS, FM radio, Universal audio jack and micro USB port connectivity. It packs with 5-megapixel Autofocus primary camera with LED flash and 1.3-megapixel front facing camera. It has 4GB of ROM ( internal memory / on-board storage ), up to 32GB (via micro SD card slot) and Dual SIM card slots with dual standby. 3 Axis accelerometer, Ambient light sensor and Proximity sensor are there to provide enrich user experience. The mobile phone comes pre-loaded with Fun Zone, V store, Hungama and opera mini web browser.
Price
The handset comes in White and black colors. The company has not enclosed any details about the pricing of the device. The Videocon A48 would get more strength if launched under RS 6,500.
